Warranty, Return & Refund Policy for Jask Auto parts Inc.
WARRANTY POLICY
The warranty covers any damaged/defective or incorrect parts sent to customers. We offer a “parts only” warranty. While placing an order please check with the sales agent or on the invoice the warranty period. If no warranty is mentioned or informed by the sales agent the part would be sold in “as is” condition and JASK AUTO PARTS INC. will not be responsible for the performance of the part once it gets delivered.
1) Limited Liability
Jask Auto Parts Inc. is not responsible for any improper installation or usage of parts after the time of purchase. The company is not liable for any consequential damages arising from the sale of the parts, including but not limited to labor charges for installation or removal, loss of income, wages, salary, or car rental costs. The buyer’s sole remedy is either a refund of the purchase price as stated on the invoice or an exchange for a replacement part. No warranties extend beyond the description on the invoice.
2) Mileage
Jask Auto Parts Inc. does not guarantee mileage on parts. Any mileage information provided by our sales agents is based on available vendor data. The final part selection will depend on availability and pricing, not mileage. Mileage guarantees will only be honored if confirmed in writing via email.
3) Labor Charges
We do not cover any labor charges associated with parts purchased from Jask Auto Parts Inc., regardless of whether the part is used, rebuilt, new, or aftermarket. This includes situations where the part is correct or incorrect, functional or defective.
4) Voiding of Warranty
All warranties are voided if:
- The vehicle is used for commercial, fleet, racing, competitive, or off-road recreational purposes.
- The part is abused, misused, or modified.
- The part is used in a manner other than intended or recommended by the manufacturer.
- The part fails due to a vehicle collision.
- The part is installed or operated outside the United States.
- The installed heat tab center is melted or removed.
Parts ordered for ‘testing purposes’ or ordered incorrectly for interchangeability checks are non-returnable. Customers are advised to consult a mechanical or body expert to verify the correct part needed before placing an order. While we strive to match the exact part needed based on our experience, conducting thorough research beforehand is beneficial.
Authorized returns will be tested upon receipt to ensure the part is in the same condition as when shipped. Any tampering, cannibalization, or damage will void the warranty.
5) Warranty Duration and Terms
Start Date: All warranties commence from the date of purchase (invoice date), not from the date of installation.
Transferability: Warranties are non-transferable and apply exclusively to the original purchaser.
Remedies:
- In the event of a failure, Jask Auto Parts Inc. will prioritize the replacement of the part. A refund or store credit will be considered if a replacement is unavailable.
- Refund requests in place of a replacement are only granted with specific approval from Jask Auto Parts Inc. If a refund is issued without approval, it will be subject to a 25% restocking fee and one-way shipping charges, due to the refusal of the replacement.
- Jask Auto Parts Inc. reserves the right to replace failed parts with parts of equal or greater mileage than the original.
Claims: Warranty claims must be accompanied by the original invoice.
Standard Warranty: All parts come with a standard 30-day warranty. Extended warranties are available at an additional cost, depending on the part’s price and availability.
Installation and Reporting:
- Parts must be installed within 14 days of delivery.
- Any issues with the part must be reported within 14 days of installation to qualify for warranty coverage.
Approval of Variations:
- Any changes to the installation or issue notification timelines must be approved by Jask Auto Parts Inc.
- Unauthorized deviations from these timelines will void the warranty.
Extended Warranty:
- Extended warranties, such as 60 or 90 days, operate on a split basis:
- The standard 30-day warranty includes a money-back guarantee.
- The extended warranty, as approved by the sales agent, adds additional coverage. For instance, a 30/30 split involves a 30-day money-back guarantee plus an additional month of warranty, which may be issued as store credit.
6) Approval of Repairs and Warranty
Approval Requirement:
– All replacements, parts, and repairs must be approved by Jask Auto Parts Inc. before any work is performed. Failure to obtain this approval will void the warranty.
7) Warranty Exceptions and Conditions
Engines:
Conditions for Warranty:
- All external parts that are worn, defective, different, or missing must be replaced.
- Radiator flow must be tested by a radiator shop, with a dated receipt required.
- Timing components, injectors, oil cooler, thermostat, and water pump must be replaced.
- Engines are sold as interchangeable long blocks; year and model may differ.
- Warranty is limited to 30 days from the purchase date.
- Unauthorized dismantling of heads and blocks voids the warranty.
- Warranty is void if heat tabs are melted or removed.
- Engine accessories (e.g., turbos, starters, alternators) are not included in the warranty.
- These accessories, if purchased separately, are covered under their own warranty as specified at purchase.
- Warranty does not cover switches, sensors, or labor charges.
- Seals must be inspected and replaced if necessary before installation.
- Negligence or abuse of the engine is not covered.
Instrument and Speedometer Clusters:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Exact mileage is not Warrantied.
- Vehicles like Lexus, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Cadillac may require dealership reprogramming.
- Returns or refunds will only be processed if written documentation from an Authorized Dealer is provided, proving the part was reprogrammed and still not functioning properly.
Carburetors:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Warrantied only for rebuildability and as plug-and-play.
Cylinder Heads:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Warrantied to be free of warps or cracks, checked during inspection.
- Rings and valves may need re-machining for better performance.
Block Only (Short or Long Block):
Conditions for Warranty:
- Warrantied to be rebuildable unless otherwise stated in writing by the agent.
Electrical Items:
Conditions for Warranty:
- – Includes engine computers (ECU), body control modules, transmission modules, and transfer case modules.
- – Warrantied to have the correct manufacturer part number (OEM number).
- – Warranty is limited to replacement only.
- – Electrical parts must be reset by a dealer if superseded; return is only accepted after dealer verification.
- – Modified electrical parts (other than reprogramming) are not refundable.
Struts:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Sold with a working condition warranty only.
- Ride quality of shocks or springs is not Warrantied.
- Springs and strut towers must be in working condition and not rusted.
Control Arms:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Warrantied to be true and straight without cracks.
- Rubber bushings or non-metal parts attached to OEM control arms are not Warrantied.
Bushings and Ball Joints:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Not Warrantied on parts sold.
Transmissions:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Sold without a filter.
- Warrantied to shift properly, with good gears and bearings.
- Must be thoroughly cleaned, and oil and filter replaced before assembly.
- Seals and gaskets must be replaced prior to installation.
- Automatic transmissions require flushing and flow testing of cooler and lines.
- Manual transmissions require a new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder, with flywheel turned prior to installation.
- Excluded from warranty: filters, gaskets, seals, sensors, electrical parts, transmission coolers, mounts, lines, tuning, adjustments, and transferring of parts.
- Failure to replace filters, fluids, flush transmission cooling lines, or improper installation will void the warranty.
CVT Transmissions:
Conditions for Warranty:
– Requires the following:
- CVT transmission and ECU fault codes provided before installation.
- Filled with dealer brand CVT fluid, with receipts provided.
- CVT and ECU computers programmed at the dealership, with receipts provided.
- CVT filters and gaskets replaced, with receipts provided.
- Torque converter and axle seals replaced, with receipts provided.
- Failure to meet these requirements or provide receipts will void the warranty.
Axle Assemblies:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Standard warranty; extended warranties come with one-time part replacement only.
- Excluded items: gaskets, seals, brake components, and transferring of parts.
- All seals and gaskets must be replaced.
- Improper installation will void the warranty.
Transfer Cases:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Standard warranty; extended warranties come with one-time part replacement only.
- Excluded items: gaskets, seals, and transferring of parts.
- All seals and cover gaskets must be replaced.
- Improper installation will void the warranty.
Turbos:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Seals in turbos are not Warrantied to be in perfect condition and may need replacement during the warranty period.
Doors:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Warrantied as complete assemblies but not with accessories (e.g., windows, regulators, handles).
- Only the door shell is Warrantied; extra parts are not covered.
Body Parts:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Parts like hoods, fenders, bumpers, quarter panels, and header panels do not include accessories (e.g., hinges, ornaments).
- Color match is not Warrantied. Parts may need repainting for an exact match.
- Parts not matching vehicle color are not returnable for that reason.
Airbags:
Conditions for Warranty:
- Must be shipped as HAZMAT ground.
- – No returns or refunds for airbags that do not fit.
- – Used airbags must be installed according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- – Jask Auto Parts Inc. makes no warranty regarding fitness for purpose or merchantability.
- – Used airbags are sold ‘as is’ and are not tested to meet safety standards.
- – New York residents cannot purchase used airbags. Per New York state law, if you are a resident of New York you cannot purchase this used Airbag (inflatable restraint system).
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Condition for Return:
- Parts must be in an unaltered, re-sellable condition and in their original packaging.
- The original invoice must accompany the returned part.
Testing and Interchangeability:
- Parts purchased for testing, checking interchangeability, or swapping must be reported before purchase.
- A restocking fee of 25% of the original bill will be applied to refunds for these parts.
Return of Incorrect Parts:
- Items returned that do not match the original part shipped (identified by matching exact part numbers) will not be refunded.
- Parts must be in the same condition as when shipped, excluding items damaged during shipping (which must be verified by a Jask Auto Parts Inc. representative).
Communication for Complaints:
- All complaints must be communicated in writing via text, mail, email, or fax to verify issues with a part or installation.
Damaged/Defective Parts:
- If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect part, notify our customer service department via email, text, or phone with pictures and a diagnostic report.
- Do not return the part before receiving written instructions from a customer service agent (Return Merchandise Authorization or RMA).
- Returns are the customer’s responsibility, and a return tracking number must be provided to Jask Auto Parts Inc.
Return Process:
- The part must be returned within 7 business days of receiving the RMA.
- Return address will be provided after the RMA is approved.
- Parts must be sent to the address provided by the customer service agent and will be sent in writing to the customer.
- Returned parts will be forwarded to the correct address listed on the RMA instructions at the customer’s expense.
- Upon receipt, the part will be inspected by in-house mechanics. A credit request will be forwarded to accounting, and refunds will be processed based on the inspection and customer request.
